The Palmetto Gas Company is a locally owned and operated business and has been in operation since 1965.
Our General Manager is Philip Young who has been with the company for fifteen years and our dispatcher, Mavis Marquardtt,
an employee of some thirty-five years, has an excellent relationship with our many suppliers.
Our company supplies wholesale loads to industry, along with small industry, farmers, and home heating accounts, etc.
We maintain our own transport tractors and trailers in order to hedge on the winter months when curtailments and allocations
can become a problem when having to rely on common carriers.
When ordering wholesale loads we normally ask for one day's notice, and very often our drivers can be diverted to accommodate
our customers on a same day basis.
Our company is a dealer of many of the items we keep in stock, which include air conditioners and heaters, water heaters, and
a large assortment of household appliances. We can also accommodate our customers with special orders, which in most instances
can be over-nighted. We maintain three Installation crews in order to provide installation of our equipment. We also have a
complete Service Dept. fully stocked with parts for most furnaces and air/conditioners. We also provide 24 hour,7 day
emergency service.
